July 6th to July 15th 2012

Days 1 & 2 - Calgary – Edmonton
Pick up your rental car at the airport and drive the 180 miles to Edmonton in about 2 ½ - 3 hours. The city and its area offer plenty to see and Calgary Stampededo: Provincial Museum, Muttart Conservatory, Fort Edmonton Park, Old Strathcona, Elk Island National Park and West Edmonton Mall, perhaps the largest in the world. You stay 2 nights in Edmonton. (B on day 2)

Day 3 - Edmonton – Jasper
Leave Edmonton and veer west through parkland and forest, through the historic towns of Edson and Hinton en route to Jasper National Park. You spend 2 nights in Jasper, a lovely little mountain town surrounded by breathtaking scenery and offering a wealth of activities. (B)

Day 4 - Jasper – Cruise on Lake Maligne
Discover the splendid views offered by Jasper National Park, explore Maligne Canyon. You have tickets for a boat tour on the legendary Maligne Lake long known only to Native people . (B)

Day 5 – Drive the Icefields Parkway from Jasper to Banff
From Jasper follow the 110-mile long Icefields Parkway to Banff National Park, said to be one of the most beautiful highways in the world. Take your time to enjoy views on the many glaciers and emerald lakes. The Columbia Icefield Center is well worth a visit and you have tickets for a snowcoach tour on the glacier. Then carry on to Banff where you spend 2 nights. (B)
Calgary Stampede
Day 6 - Banff region
Take a ride on the Sulphur Mountain Gondola (included), visit the Cave and Basin Centennial Centre, the Banff Park Museum and the Whyte Museum. (B)

Days 7 and 8 - Calgary Stampede
Time to reach Calgary and the Stampede. You're invited to attend the largest outdoor rodeo in the world! Professional cowboys compete in a myriad of rodeo events, including bull-riding, chuckwagon racing, steer wrestling, barrel racing. Don your western duds, saddle up and join us for Stampede breakfasts galore, square dancing, parades, the fun of the midway, great exhibits, a spectacular Grandstand Show and fireworks, and, of course, heapin helpings of Western hospitality. On Day 7 you attend the afternoon Rodeo starting at 1:30 pm and on Day 8 you have tickets to the Chuckwagon/Grandstand show which starts at 8:30 pm. You stay 2 nights in Calgary. (2B)

Day 9 – Departure
End of your adventure. You return the rental car at the Calgary Airport and fly back home. (B)
