Welcome to Hooked on Canada Holidays and our wonderful cycling holiday in Nova Scotia. Our biking vacation in Nova Scotia follows the breathtaking coast visiting picture postcard towns and stunning fishing villages. Brightly coloured houses await you so different to other regions. Of course not far away in the Atlantic and wonderfully beautiful coastline and secluded beaches. This cycling holiday is what dreams are made of. We have also carefully selected the accommodation to provide you a very unique experience to enlighten you with the local culture and cuisine. We have graded this cycle tour as level 2 tour as some sections are hilly.

Level 2 self guided tour

Day 1 Arrival Halifax
On arrival to Halifax you will be picked up at the Airport and taken to the Lunenburg Bicycle Barn where you will be fitted with your bike and get all your related gear. You will have lunch with Merrill and Al our local representative who will brief you on the tour ahead.

After lunch, a taxi will take you to White Point Beach Resort (1.5 hours). Spend the afternoon and evening in this beautiful resort. Enjoy a fine dinner.

Day Two  Liverpool (Riding distance -16.8 miles)        
Ride to the historic town of Liverpool check into your inn, and then explore the town, its museum and lighthouse. Dine at your inn, Lane’s Privateer.

Day Three  Broad Cove (Riding distance: 31.5 miles)
Ride from Liverpool along the scenic Lighthouse Route. Coastal roadways yield to beautiful sights making this an enjoyable day of riding, with favourable winds, and moderate to hilly terrain. End your day in Broad Cove. Walk the beach to stretch your legs. Enjoy dinner in your suite.

Day Four  Lunnenberg (Riding distance – 25.3 miles)
The ride from Broad Cove continues to Lunenburg. Interesting stops along the way can include the LaHave Islands Museum, the Fort Point Museum, and the LaHave Bakery, a must-stop for lunch. Take the cable ferry across the LaHave River and ride the beautiful shore road to Lunenburg.  Stay at the Solomon House B&B. Dinner voucher will be  provided.

Day 5 Lunnenberg
Spend the day in and around Lunenburg, exploring this historic UNESCO World Heritage town. Options: Guided Walking Tour, Sailing aboard the Eastern Star ketch, or Whale Watching. Or bike around this beautiful area. Day trip plans and maps will be provided. You will get a dinner voucher evening.

Day 6 Chester (Riding distance – 29 miles)              
The day’s trip takes you through coastal communities and into charming Mahone Bay. Good shopping here! Continue along to Chester with option to ride the Rails-to-Trails Connector. Settle into the Mecklenburgh Inn and enjoy a fine meal at Nikki’s accompanied by your tour organizers, if you’d like!

Day 7 Transfer to Halifax
In the morning we transfer you back to Halifax so you have plenty of time to explore this great city.
