Day 1. Arrive Vancouver, Victoria.
On arrival at Vancouver Airport, be transferred to the ferry for the cruise across Georgia Strait to Vancouver Island. Travel to Victoria, the charming capital of British Columbia, famous for its distinct British feel. Check into your hotel, then tonight enjoy an informal Welcome Reception.
Stay (Two Nights): Victoria, Queen Victoria Hotel and Suites.
Day 2. Victoria Sightseeing.
This morning, visit the lovely Victoria Butterfly Gardens. Then continue to the acclaimed Butchart Gardens and view wonderful floral displays. The rest of the day is at your leisure to explore Vancouver Island. Perhaps take a whale-watching cruise or enjoy a horse-drawn carriage tour of the inner har bour and surrounds. Alternatively, you may like to indulge in the famous English Afternoon Tea at the Empress Hotel (all at own expense). (B)
Day 3. Victoria, Sun Peaks.
Board the ferry and return to the mainland. Then travel via coach through British Columbia’s interior, known for its virgin forests, alpine meadows and mountain lakes. Check into your lodge before enjoying a delicious dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 4. Jasper.
Follow the renowned Yellowhead Highway as you pass Mt Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies at 3,954 metres. This afternoon, arrive in Jasper National Park.

Day 5. Icefields Parkway, Athabasca Glacier, Lake Louise.
Journey along the Icefields Parkway, with vistas of glaciers, lakes and wildlife. Stop at Athabasca Glacier for an Ice Explorer ride.

Day 6. Banff.
See the stunning Moraine Lake (weather permitting), then continue on to Banff.

Day 7. Banff Sightseeing.
Today ride the Banff Gondola over the shoulder of Sulphur Mountain and enjoy incredible views of the Canadian Rockies. With time at leisure, visit The Fairmont Banff Springs or participate in a Banff Experience to learn about the local township (own expense). Tonight, enjoy the entertaining Oh Canada Eh! Theatre Dinner Show. (B, D)
Day 8. Rocky Mountaineer, Kamloops.
After breakfast early this morning, board the Rocky Mountaineer train and relax in your RedLeaf carriage. Pass sights including Mt Robson, the glaciers of the Alberta Icefields and Pyramid Falls. Later, follow the Thompson River through to Kamloops, arriving late this afternoon. .jpg)

Day 9. Rocky Mountaineer, Vancouver.
Rejoin the Rocky Mountaineer and continue towards the Pacific Ocean. See Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon and then view the Coast Mountains before travelling through Fraser Valley. Witness dramatic changes in scenery throughout this spectacular rail journey. Arrive in Vancouver this afternoon.

Day 10. Vancouver.
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Vancouver, which includes the Waterfront, Gastown and Stanley Park. The rest of the day is at your leisure to explore, before a Farewell Dinner tonight prior to boarding your Holland America Line cruise tomorrow. (B, D)
Day 11. Vancouver, Holland America Line Cruise.
Today 11 day passengers (URBWI11) depart the tour with a transfer to the airport. Remaining passengers board your Holland America Line cruise ship and settle into your comfortable stateroom as you sail north towards the Inside Passage and the famous icefields of Alaska.

Day 12. Inside Passage.
Enjoy a day at sea as your ship wends its way past dramatic rocky headlands, precipitous cliffs and over the still blue waters of the legendary Inside Passage. (B, L, D)
Day 13. Juneau.
This afternoon arrive in Juneau, which is Alaska’s capital named after gold prospector Joe Juneau. Here, you might like to enjoy an exhilarating dog sled ride over a glacier, sample fresh salmon which is baked over a fire or, alternatively, pan for gold (all at own expense). (B, L, D)
Day 14. Skagway.
Situated at the northernmost point of the Inside Passage is the frontier town of Skagway. The town’s history as a gateway for the gold rush is still evident. Enjoy time discovering what gold prospecting was like or take in local wildlife (own expense). (B, L, D).jpg)
Day 15. Glacier Bay.
Wake up to the breathtaking sight of Glacier Bay National Park with its formidable rivers of ice. This region offers incredible views of majestic icebergs, glaciers, fjords and snow-capped mountains. Today, rangers will come on board to explain the geological wonders of the area and to identify and explain the region’s diverse wildlife. (B, L, D)
Day 16. Ketchikan.
As the salmon capital of the world, Ketchikan is the place to indulge in all things to do with salmon. During time at leisure, perhaps join a walking tour of this cultural town. Visit the fishing harbour; the historic red light district where wooden houses that still stand today were built on stilts over the water; or immerse yourself in the Tlingit Indian culture at Saxman Native Village ( all at own expense). Day 17. Inside Passage.
Heading back south through the Inside Passage, take in the shifting panorama of this region’s dramatic coastline and watch magnificent landscapes slip by. (B, L, D)
Day 18. Depart Vancouver.
Disembark in Vancouver after breakfast. Enjoy some time at leisure before your transfer to the airport. (B)
