At Hooked on Canada Holidays we have a great selection of self drive tours throughout Canada. We are proud to introduce our holiday in Canada in the Canadian region of Ontario. The circumnavigation of Lake Ontario has been planned to cover lakeside roads and by-ways, which are on the beaten-track - but off the main roads – thus allowing you to cover this huge inland sea and enjoy the best scenery along the way.

10 Days /9 Nights Fly Drive Lake Ontario
Available daily from May to October
Day 1 - Toronto to Kingston (290km)
Pick up your rental car at the Avis depot in downtown Toronto. Make your way to Kingston where you will stay overnight.
Day 2 - Free day in Kingston
Today you have the day free to explore. There are some interesting places for you to visit including Fort UNESCO Henry National Historic Site, Villa Bellevue. The Sir John A. MacDonald Home, The Penitentiary Museum, 1000 Islands cruise and we strongly suggest taking along a picnic and soak up this superb unique geographical feature. This can be combined with a fascinating “drive over the islands”. Kingston has three nearby I sland communities on Amherst, Wolfe and How Islands and a day taking the ferries getting to know them could be a rewarding experience.
Day 3 - Kingston to Prescott (120km)
Today you will make your way to Prescott. On the way we suggest you stop off in Gananoque at the Arthur Child heritage Museum or 1000 Islands Kayaking company for day kayaking the 1000 islands. Continue onto Brockville where you can see the historic district of homes and Brockville Tunnel. You will be staying overnight in Prescott. While in Prescott you can visit Fort Wellington
Day 4 & 5 - Prescott to Sackets Harbour (160km)
You will cross the International Bridge to the United States today. Sackets Harbour is where the American fleet was based during the War of 1812 and where it sailed to attack what was then called “York” and was later re-named Toronto. Sackets harbour has a wonderful battlefield museum and an excellent restored town centre. The motoring is slow because the roads wind around the south shore of Lake Ontario and through pretty villages and towns. En-route to Sackets Harbour you will pass through Alexandria Bay where its possible to take a boat out to see Boldt Castle in the middle of the St. Lawrence Rive and then through Clayton with arguably the world’s finest antique boat museum
Day 6 &7 - Sackets Harbour to Watkins Glen (265km)
Make your way to Watkins Glen where you can visit the Watkins Glen International Race Circuit or go on the Lake Geneva cruise. The Finger Lake region just south of Sackets is where Lake Geneva resides and the pretty village of Watkins Glen – a shrine to gear-heads (motor-race fans) from around the globe. “The Glen” as its known locally is located at the head of Lake Geneva and is a resort town for Canadians and Americans. You will stay overnight in Watkins Glen.
Day 8 & 9 - Watkins Glen to Niagara on the Lake (302km)
Cross the International Bridge back into Canada and stay overnight in the amazing Nigara on the Lake. Here you can visit the falls and go on the Maid of the Mist cruise. It is not to be missed.
