You will visit several famous National parks on this self drive hiking vacation , Banff National Park , Jasper National Park to name two but with visits to Lake Louise , Icefield parkway, Columbia Glazier and Calgary. There are numerous hiking trails to follow and we suggest to you many of the better ones from easy hikes to more demanding hikes. You will experience breathtaking scenery , chance to spot wildlife in natural surroundings and maybe take part in some non hiking activity such as horse-riding on this wonderful Canadian experience.

Day 1 Flight into Calgary
Pick-up your rental car and transfer directly into the Rockies. You will spend the night in Banff in a comfortable hotel/lodge in the centre of town.
-Driving: 130 km. 1.5 hours
Day 2-3 Banff National Park
After breakfast visit the Banff National park tourist office, a stone throw away from the hotel and transfer to your choice of hiking trail. Numerous trails are offered in Banff National park and depending on physical level or temperature, choose as you wish. Back in the village in the afternoon with free time for drinks and relaxing. You might want to reserve an optional horseback trail ride with sunset BBQ or just savour one Banff’s many restaurants.

Twin Lakes- 7.4 km one way, elevation gain 715 m, 6 hours round trip
Day 4 Lake Louise - Jasper
Transfer to Lake Louise and discover the glacier and the astonishing emerald coloured lake. Hike up to Agnes lake and relax in the tea house overlooking the valley and the glacier. Other hikes are available from the tea House or at Morraine Lake for hiking enthusiasts. After lunch, transfer onto the Ice field parkway in the direction towards Jasper. Stop on the way at Columbia icefeilds, Arthabaska glacier and numerous other stops of sheer beauty. Keep your eyes open, as lots of animals can be seen from the road! Night in Jasper

Day 5-6 Jasper National Park
Two full days to discover Jasper National park. A definite visit to Maligne Canyon and Maligne lake will be proposed on day 5. Numerous hiking trails from Maligne Lake take you into the backcountry with great views of the Maligne Valley or emerald Maligne lake. On day 6, you might want to join an optional rafting journey, a heli hike or transfer to Miette Hot Springs to relax. For hikers, there are still numerous trails you can discover around Miette Hot springs or closer to village.Hotel in downtown Jasper.

Cavell Meadows Loop 8 km return (3-6 hours), elevation gain 400 m
Day 7 Jasper to Calgary
Free day to slowly transfer back to Calgary. Along the Icefeild parkway we can suggest many small hikes or some bigger full day hikes. Reserve an optional snowcoach tour at Columbia glacier or sleep in and enjoy the terrific drive back to Stampede city – Calgary. Night in Calgary.
