Welcome to Hooked on Canada and our rail holidays in Canada. Travelling onboard the Rocky Mountaineer is an unforgettable, considered by many to be, a trip of a lifetime. It recaptures the romance of rail travel as it follows the historic train route constructed over 100 years ago. The entire train dide takes place during daylight hours to ensure you enjoy every minute of the breathtaking scenery of glacier-fed lakes, majestic mountains ranges and ferocious rivers.

DESCRIPTION OF THE VARIOUS ITINERARIES:
The Passage to the West: Travel between Vancouver and Banff (or Calgary). This route traces the historic transcontinental rail line that united Canada’s East and West. The highlights are the Fraser and Thompson Canyons, the Spiral Tunnels and the Kicking Horse Pass.

Journey through the Clouds: Journey between Vancouver and the picturesque resort town of Jasper. This itinerary is renowned for its spectacular valleys and the numerous opportunities it offers to observe wildlife (including bears!).

Rainforest to Gold Rush: Travel between Whistler and Jasper by following the mighty Fraser River. You will then have the opportunity to travel across the legendary Cariboo region where the famous gold rush occurs in the 19th century. The highlights are Seton Lake, Fraser Canyon, Cariboo plateau, Mount Robson as well as the lush forests of northern BC.

Whistler Sea to Sky Climb: Inaugurated in 2006, this new itinerary allows to travel between Vancouver and whistler while taking advantage of unique views over some of the most beautiflu Rocky sceneries. The highlights are the snow capped mountains of the Sea to Sky Corridor, the majestic waterfalls, the old-growth forests, the brillant Pacific waters, Mount Garibaldi, Cheakamus Canyon and magnificent views on vancouver and Stanley Park.

DESCRIPTION OF THE VARIOUS TYPE OF SEATS:
Redleaf (The Passage to the West, Journey through the Clouds and Rainforest to Gold Rush): Settle back in your roomy reclining seat and enjoy the commentary and service provided by your onboard attendant. Delicious chilled breakfasts and lunch selections are served at your seat. Large picture windows afford spectacular views of the ever-changing vistas. A classic travelling experience offering extended legroom, onboard complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic beverages served at your seat, 1 night accommodation in a hotel, the transfers between the station and your accommodation, an information package and a commemorative pin.

Goldleaf (The Passage to the West, Journey through the Clouds and Rainforest to Gold Rush): Travel with style in our dome coach and enjoy a gourmet regional cuisine prepared by talented chefs and served in dining room. From the moment you are welcomed onboard, you can be assured of luxury and comfort! You will also take advantage of an assigned seating in reclining dome level, of one night accommodation in a hotel (including transfers from the train station and luggage delivery). Of a dinner at your hotel, of an information package and a commemorative pin. Onboard complimentary snacks and beverages will also be served at your seat.

Whistler Classic Service (Whistler Sea to Sky Climb): A classic rail experience featuring quality service, extended legroom and scenic views through large picture windows. You will take advantage of an assigned reclining seat, of an access to the Henry Pickering Open Observation Car. Travelling in the morning from Vancouver, you will enjoy a chilled continental breakfast. Travelling south from Whistler to Vancouver, a light meal, including a sandwich will be provided to all Coast Classic guests. All meals and complimentary non-alcoholic beverages are served at your seat and our knowledgeable and friendly onboard attendants will provide you with interpretive commentary. Transfers to and from the stations in Vancouver and Whistler are also included.

Whistler Dome Service (Whistler Sea to Sky Climb): Unparalleled panoramic views from our custom-built Glacier Dome Coach make this the ultimate experience onboard the Whistler Mountaineer. You will take advantage of an assigned seating and fully reclining seats and of an access to the Henry Pickering Open Observation Car. Travelling in the morning from Vancouver, you will enjoy coffee service and fresh fruit plate followed by a choice between a delectable continental breakfast or a hot entrée.
