Day 1 – Montreal
Arrival at the airport. Transfer on your
own towards the les Suites Labelle
Hotel in standard and the Roberval
Hotel in Outfitter.
Day 2 – Montréal /
Trois-Rives
After breakfast, a shuttle will pick you
up directly at your downtown hotel.
You’ll then head towards the Mattawin
Adventure Center which is located in
the heart of the Mauricie region’s wild
territories. After a two hours journey,
much of which runs along the scenic
St. Maurice Valley, a guide will greet
you upon your arrival at the Adventure
Center. He will then explain in details
the course of your stay. You will then take advantage of a guided snowshoeing
excursion in the heart of the
Canadian forest. You will then reach a
remotely located Voyager camp. While
sipping a glass of Caribou (Quebec’s
apperitif wine) you will be introduced
to the art of living in the wild and will
build a traditional Native shelter. After
a hearty lunch cooked over a camp
fire, you will have the opportunity to
experience ice hockey, tube sliding
and other winter delights! You will
spend the next 4 nights at the Auberge
de la Rivière Mattawin in standard.
For the cabin category, you’ll rather
stay in the Eco-chalets of the Adventure
Center or in the cabin of the Domaine
McCormick.
Day 3 – Trois-Rives (140 km)
It’s snowmobile time! After the crossing
of the majestic Saint-Maurice
River, you’ll ride through fabulous
wildlife areas.
Day 4 – Trois-Rives
(160 km)
In the morning, get back on your
snowmobile in order to reach the
magnificent area of the Mékinac Lake,
which means turtle in Native language.
The Canadian cliché of the
wild forests sparkled with isolated
lakes becomes a reality here! Lunch
will then be taken in a typical snowmobile
relay station. In the afternoon,
you’ll travel through breathtaking
sceneries while passing under tunnels
of snowy pine trees.
Day 5 – Trois-Rives
After these three days of activities,
some of you will surely want to take
advantage of a free day to try the
several free activities available at the
Adventure Center (ice hockey, snowshoeing,
tube sliding, etc.). However,
those who have never enough will
also have the opportunity to choose
one of the following optional activities:
an additional day of snowmobiling
, a day of
snowmobiling without a guide (prices
on request) , a day of multi-activities or an additional
day of dog sledding.
Day 6 – Trois-Rives/
Montreal or Quebec City**
There’s no way we could let you leave
before inviting you to participate to the
typical Canadian activity known as dog
sledding! This excursion will take place
bordering a lake in the forest, accentuated
with a fireside dinner in the
great outdoors. Just imagine! Back at
the Adventure Center at the end of the
day, you’ll take advantage of a farewell
dinner before the transfer to Montreal.
Night at the Suites Labelle in standard
category or at the Roberval Hotel in
outfitter category. Instead of
returning to Montreal, you can rather
opt for a transfer to Quebec City.
Day 7 – Montreal
Those who returned to Montreal the
night before will take advantage of
some free time to discover the city
before returning to the airport.
N.B. The order of activities may change.
** "Stay in Quebec City" Option: Rather than returning to Montreal on day 6, you now have the
